The Joy of Piano Duets- Four Hands, One Piano- A Tel Hai Concert Series Event: Nov. 7, 2015, 7:30 PM

Tel Hai Retirement Community invites the public to a Tel Hai Concert Series presentation called “The Joy of Piano Duets- Four Hands, One Piano” with pianists Jeffrey Uhlig and Yu Xi Wang on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at 7:30 PM in the community’s StoneCroft Center for Worship & Performing Arts, located at 4000 Tree Line Drive in Honey Brook. Admission to the event is free and open to the public.

This exciting and enthralling musical journey includes musical numbers from Mozart, Debussy, Schumann, Poulenc, and Beethoven.

Jeffrey Uhlig has appeared as collaborative pianist throughout America and also has performed in Russia. Notable performances include The Phillips Collection in Washington, DC and at the Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall in New York. Uhlig plays regularly with many members of The Philadelphia Orchestra including Concert Master David Kim, Principal Cellist, Hai-Ye Ni and Principal Trombonist, Nitzan Haroz.

Pianist Yu Xi Wang made her Carnegie Hall debut in 2002 as the winner of the Artist International Competition, and subsequently released her debut CD in China under JSCP. As an avid soloist and chamber musician, Yu Xi has performed in venues such as New York’s Alice Tully Hall, Jay Sharp Theatre of Lincoln Center, Beijing’s Forbidden City Concert Hall, Rock Hall Auditorium at Temple University, Zoellner Arts Center at Lehigh University, and Gore Recital Hall at the University of Delaware. A native of Beijing, China, Yu Xi began playing the piano at the age of three and later studied at the Central Conservatory of Music. After moving to the United States, she studied at The Juilliard School under the tutelages of Herbert Stessin, Jerome Lowenthal, and Julian Martin, obtaining her bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees in piano performance.

Tel Hai Retirement Community, an accredited nonprofit continuing care retirement community, has provided high quality and compassionate care since 1956. The StoneCroft Center for Worship & Performing Arts is located on the campus of Tel Hai, three miles east of Route 10 off Beaver Dam Road. Follow Beaver Dam Road to the campus of Tel Hai, then turn onto Tree Line Drive and follow signs to StoneCroft. Parking is available adjacent to the StoneCroft commons main entrance.
