When I interviewed at Tel Hai during my senior year of college for the Social Service Coordinator position I remember calling my mom and telling her how caring and compassionate the staff were with the residents.
I am happy to say that last week I was blessed to have celebrated my 14th year of employment here at Tel Hai Retirement Community and still see the same care and compassion I did that day in April of 2001.
Compassion and caring are not single qualities that describe the nursing staff at Tel Hai but are rather an umbrella that encompasses many of their great qualities. The nurses are loyal, devoted, honest and hardworking. They are often a shoulder to cry on, a motivator or an advocate.
The nurses are not only treating the resident’s diagnosis, they are working to achieve an emotional wellbeing for the resident and the family. The nurses are always there and ready to do whatever is needed compassionately and caringly through faith, hope and kindness.
They are the caregivers whose names may not be remembered but they will never be forgotten by residents for how they make them feel and for doing their best to enhance the quantity of their lives, or by the family members who can rest easier knowing their loved ones are in the good hands and under the watchful eyes of Tel Hai nurses.
