Tel Hai Retirement Community invites the public to a life enrichment program entitled “Theology & Science- Sibling Rivals or Mortal Enemies” featuring Reverend Herb Davis on Wednesday, April 15 at 7:00 PM in the community’s chapel located at 1200 Tel Hai Circle, Honey Brook, Pa. Admission to the event is free and open to the public.
Rev. Davis— a graduate of West Chester University and the Lancaster Theological Seminary— was ordained by the United Church of Christ in 1960. His education then continued when he earned a master’s degree in sacred theology at the Lutheran Theological School in Gettysburg, Pa., and received his doctor of ministry from the Andover Newton Theological School in Newton Centre, Mass.
Rev. Davis has served in congregations in Pennsylvania, Illinois, Connecticut and Massachusetts and has lectured in preaching at the Andover Newton Theological School. Labeling himself as a preacher and not a scholar, he was active in the civil rights movement and urban ministry. Rev. Davis currently resides at Tel Hai with his wife Lillian.
